But many dog ​​owners do not want to use the industrially produced treats. The alternative: bake dog biscuits! So you have a clear overview of which ingredients are included and can pamper your dog with culinary delights. But don’t worry! You don’t have to stand in the kitchen for hours. Here are three super easy recipes for delicious dog biscuits.

Baking dog biscuits: minced meat pizza

Ingredients (for 1 baking sheet):

  • 200 g whole wheat flour
  • 10 g fresh yeast
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 50 g mozzarella
  • 50-70 g ground beef

Before you start to use the ingredients, preheat the oven to 220 ° C (fan oven 200 ° C).

Step 1: Put the flour in a bowl and form a small hollow in the middle of the flour. Then dissolve the yeast in 80 ml of lukewarm water, let the yeast-water mixture slowly flow into the well and mix it with a little flour.

Step 2: Now the oil is added. To be able to knead everything vigorously in the bowl, it is best to use the dough hook of a hand mixer.

Step 3: Once you’ve made everything into a smooth batter, cover the bowl with a cloth. Now the dough needs to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Step 4: After the rest period, you can knead the dough again with your hands. Then shape these into small dough balls and use them to form the pizza bases.

Step 5: Then place the pizza pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and cover them with the mozzarella and the minced meat. So that they get nice and crispy, the minced meat pizzas come in your oven for about 20 minutes.

Shelf life: The minced meat pizzas can be kept in the refrigerator for approx. 4 days.

Dog biscuits with meat: Speckies

Ingredients (for 1 baking sheet):

  • 150 g potatoes
  • 50 g bacon
  • 100 g yeast bran
  • 1 heaped teaspoon of brewer’s yeast
  • 50 grams of flour

Before you get to the bacon, preheat your oven to 170 ° C (fan oven 150 ° C).

Step 1: First of all, boil the potatoes, then let them cool down and then peel and mash them. The bacon is cut into small cubes.

Step 2: Now put the bacon, the yeast bran, the brewer’s yeast and the flour together with the mashed potatoes in a bowl. Then knead the ingredients with a dough hook on the hand mixer to form a firm dough.

Step 3: Finally, shape the dough into small balls that are approx. 2 cm in diameter. Place these on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for about 30 minutes until they are nice and crispy.

Tip: Potatoes contain important vitamins and minerals that are important for your dog. They are well suited to fill you up with allergies and intolerances. But be careful! Four-legged friends can only tolerate boiled potatoes. In the raw state, these can be indigestible.

Brewer’s yeast is also good for your dog. It is one of the natural home remedies and is therefore, unlike chemical food supplements, healthy and easily digestible. It ensures healthy skin and a radiant and healthy coat.

Light dog biscuits: dandelion cams

Ingredients (for 1 baking sheet):

  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 1 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped dandelion leaves
  • approx. 150 g whole grain oat flakes

At the beginning, preheat your oven to 180 ° C (convection 160 ° C).

Step 1: Mix the margarine, eggs and dandelion into a mass with the help of the dough hook.

Step 2: Then add the flour and gradually the oatmeal to make a paste-like dough.

Step 3: Now form small cams with 2 teaspoons and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

Step 4: Finally, the cams are baked for about 15 minutes and then turned over and baked again for a few minutes. This is to help keep the dandelion cams dry.
