The Society for the Preservation of Old and Endangered Pet Breeds (GEH) is a non-profit association that has been committed to the preservation of old and endangered livestock breeds for almost 25 years. This also includes the old house and farm dogs such as the Großspitz and Old German herding dog. The focus of the work is the nationwide networking of all organizations active in this area, public relations, the Arche-Hof project, as well as the practical breeding and conservation work of around 100 farm animal breeds, which is carried out by some of the more than 2000 GEH members.
